How we met

Pulled together by an invisible string (and maybe a few paws)

They say there’s an invisible string tying you to the person you’re meant to meet... For Courtney and Corbin, that string had a sense of humor and impeccable timing. Before ever exchanging a word, they unknowingly lived in the same apartment complex. At the time, Courtney was often seen walking her pups around the complex pond. Corbin’s friend was on the lookout for him, frequently pointing her out with a laugh: “There’s that girl walking her dogs again!” Corbin, intrigued, would lace up his sneakers and head out for a well-timed “jog,” hoping to cross paths. Despite several solid attempts (and some excellent cardio), their lives kept orbiting — close, but never quite colliding. Eventually, he tried his luck with online dating, hoping their stars would finally align through swipes and algorithms. Still, nothing stuck. Then, in the most ordinary and unexpected way, Corbin ran into Courtney at her workplace. No apps, no strategy, just a real moment — and this time, it worked. By then, Courtney was a full-fledged single dog mom of three — a title that might’ve scared some away. But not Corbin. He met the chaos with calm, the fur with open arms, and the dogs with genuine affection. From the start, he fit right in, not just with her, but her pups and her life she’d built. It wasn’t love at first sight. It was something slower, steadier, and exactly right. A love that showed up when it was meant to.
