Constantine and I grew up knowing of each other, but it wasn't until we started volunteering together in our church's Young Adults group that I actually noticed him. He is so funny and so sweet. He's strong willed and sticks up for those who are being left out. He loves God to the very core of him AND.....HE PRAYS! I tried to ignore it for months lol telling myself that I was just there to volunteer for my church, not meet a guy. But he was showing me every quality I had prayed and asked God for. I just couldn’t ignore him or what I was feeling anymore. So I told a friend and I said “Don’t tell anyone and don’t ever mention this again to me, but I have a crush on Constantine!". And then I told my sisters. lol At that point I should’ve known there was no going back and no denying it. I liked him! During December I accepted his friend request on Facebook and I (almost automatically) received a text saying “Well it’s about time”. It was from Constantine. Apparently his friend request had been sitting in my Facebook notifications for months. Some late night convos and nonstop gifs turned in to him finagling his way into making our supposed “photography lesson” into a date. And it was the sweetest date. I knew that night I wanted to date this man and had a feeling I wanted to marry him too. I remember sitting in my Christmas Eve service praying about whether we should date, if this was who God had me wait for. I clearly heard this, “This is good, this is ok Courtney, your heart will be protected in this, I give you permission to follow this”. New Year’s Eve he invited me to his families party and that night (morning lol) at 12am he asked me to be his girlfriend. 7 amazing months later and he asked me to marry him in the most magical “fairytale” way I could imagine. I could go on and on with how many details God had his hand upon with our relationship, even years before we “met”. I am so thankful God brought Constantine into my life and I can not wait to marry him.
When I first met Courtney, I remember awkwardly pretending that I didn’t know her name, which of course I did. My intentions with her at the time were just to make her smile or get a laugh out of her. I thought she was stunning, but never thought I would have a chance so I was never brave enough to make a move. One day in December, I noticed she accepted my Facebook request. It dawned on me that I sent this request two months prior. Well, a joking text about her late acceptance on Facebook, lead to hours of conversation that night. It was then I had my suspicions that there was something blooming between this Courtney gal and I. After weeks of daily texting, we had our “first date”. I came up with an excuse to hangout with Courtney with my idea of a so called “photo session”. We both have cameras and I knew she had better camera skills than mine, so I figured it would be fun to take our cameras and find things to take photos of. This for me was nothing but a scheme to hangout out with Courtney for an evening. Our photo session turned into dinner, coffee, and staying up late driving around together. I was so shocked that I had just gone on a date with Courtney that I went straight home and woke up my roommate Jon to tell him the amazing night I had. He laughed at me when I told him who I had just spent an evening with, for he was in just as much disbelief about it as I was. After a number of dates, I asked her to be my girlfriend at the strike of midnight going into the new year of 2020. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my entire life. Our relationship for me was a complete blessing dropped into my lap out of no where, but I couldn’t be more grateful for that. For after months of making memories with the girl of my dreams (beyond my dreams!), I asked her to marry me!! She said yes in case you haven’t noticed yet. I am absolutely thrilled that God has matched me up with the most amazing woman to be by my side for eternity. C'mon April 24th!!!
