How long does it take to travel on the ferry from Galveston Island to Bolivar Peninsula?

Answer

The ferry ride can range from a half hour to up to two hours long. This is dependent on the season and time of day. Check for ferry updates via twitter @GalvestonFerry.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Please arrive by 6:45 pm. The ceremony will start at 7 pm.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! It is considered beach formal. Hers: summer dress in light dressy fabric, above the knee, high-low or maxi length, skip the heels. His: khakis or "dress" shorts and linen short sleeve shirt, skip the tie.

Can I bring a date?

We are not allowing our guests to bring dates that we did not invite. We really want a small intimate wedding with those who are truly close with us. Thank you for your understanding!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking for the ceremony and reception but it may be limited. Please try to carpool if possible.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! I recommend staying at Galveston at The San Luis Resort, Moody Gardens Hotel, or Hotel Galvez and Spa. You could also stay on Bolivar Peninsula and rent a beach house!
