The Wedding Website of Courtney Doyle and Alex Karukas
Los Angeles is, you guessed it, HUGE. The party will be taking place in Downtown LA (where EVERYONE hangs out), which means it is ~sort of~ equidistant from most popular neighborhoods in LA proper. However, if you're into shorter Uber rides, we recommend looking for Airbnbs in places like Echo Park, Silverlake, Frog Town, Los Feliz, Cypress Park, and Highland Park. If you love a hotel moment but don't love a downtown moment (there are plenty of hotels in DTLA!), areas in the valley like Burbank and Glendale have both chain and boutique hotels and are easy areas from which to access Downtown LA. PARKING INFORMATION: The best lot to park in to access LATC is located at 545 South Main Street. Its daily max price is $12, and if you ask security at LATC to validate your parking, it'll only cost $8! https://www.parkme.com/lot/77042/545-s-main-st

Flight

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

Miley Cyrus has sung about it, you've seen it on TV, it's LAX! If you are flying to join us for the reception, LAX will have a wider variety of flight options than the smaller municipal airports, but you will have to mentally prepare yourself for the traffic you will have to endure to get to your lodging. It's a Los Angeles rite of passage--just turn on some HAIM and breathe through it.

Travel Note

How to Uber / Lyft / Cab from LAX

Also to note, Ubering from LAX is literally SO ANNOYING but let us give you the rundown: Once you land and exit the airport, you will need to look for signs pointing you to the LAXit shuttle, which will transport you to the off-site location where all the Ubers, Lyfts, and Taxis live. If you happen to fly into Terminals 1 or 7 (and are traveling light), it's often faster to just mosey over to the LAXit on foot (there are signs to point you there). Once you get there, the system is relatively streamlined. Godspeed!

Flight

Hollywood Burbank Airport (Bob Hope)

Burbank is a beloved airport because not only does it physically transport you to the olden days of Hollywood (it doesn't seem to have been updated since the 50s), it is also quick and easy to navigate. If you are flying from somewhere that offers an affordable flight into Burbank, you should take it! It's a more convenient airport to fly into, especially if you are staying anywhere in the valley or a neighborhood north of Downtown.

For all the days along the way
