FAQs

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at St. Dennis Church in Madison, WI, followed by the reception at The Venue at River’s Edge in Waterloo, WI. Both celebrations will be indoors!

Question

How should I RSVP?

Answer

To RSVP, simply visit our wedding website's dedicated RSVP page. RSVPs will open when formal invitations are sent.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We kindly request an adults-only reception. Children will be welcomed only if they are specifically invited on your individual invitation. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We wish we could invite everyone! For clarity, your invitation will show if you’ve been given a plus-one.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding calls for semi-formal/cocktail attire. We want you to look and feel your best! Ladies, we encourage you wear a nice dress or a formal jumpsuit. Gentlemen, choose suits, sport coats, or dress shirts with dress pants (ties optional). We kindly ask no jeans. Since our vows will be exchanged in a Catholic church, we kindly ask guests to dress in a manner that is respectful of the sacred setting.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes, we have rooms reserved for wedding guests at Comfort Suites Cottage Grove-Madison. Please see the travels page for additional details. Following the ceremony, we have reserved shuttle transportation to take guests from the hotel to the reception venue. After a night of celebration, the shuttle will make two separate trips from the reception venue to the hotel. If you’d prefer to experience the liveliness of Madison and be in the heart of the city, several downtown hotels offer a convenient location closer to restaurants and activities.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we'll be offering an open bar with complimentary drinks throughout our celebration. Get ready to raise a glass and dance the night away with us!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests do not take photos during the event. We have professional photographers to capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy!
