Save Our New Date! 02/27/21

Since she was a small child, Courtney enjoyed reading the magical wonders of Harry Potter. She can vividly remember sitting up for hours on a school night reading half a book the day it was released. Sometimes she laughed, sometimes she cried. Once she was so enthralled by the story that she was convinced Voldemort and the Death Eaters were coming into her bedroom--at the fully competent age of 15. J.K. Rowling really knows what she's doing... Ace has always been a Star Wars nerd, so naturally he could appreciate this love. Courtney has always said, "just make it a surprise when you propose." With the help of family, dear friends, and a very patient airline attendant Ace would make the most monumental proposal of 2020. Here is how the setup went: -Courtney would be gifted Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park tickets by her best friend, Amanda. -Two bottles of champagne and tons of laughs later they had a completed girls trip itinerary. Score. -They hopped the WORST flight to Orlando. Read; Turbulent. -Two full days of hot tubs, luxury outlet center shopping, and a visit to Grandma Ski in Sarasota later, the girls headed to the main event. -While in Sarasota, Ace and Amanda's husband, Eric, were flying down to Orlando. A one-way ticket to New Jersey and 10 hours later, they arrived at the theme park. Enter extremely patient airline attendant. -Courtney and Amanda picked up their house robes at the gift shop (10 pts. to Ravenclaw when Amanda used this to stall) and headed to Hogwarts. -Ace lost his phone in the Uber, Eric saved the day. -At the perfect moment, Ace and Eric took the Hogwarts Express from Diagon Alley to Hogsmeade, meeting the girls in a perfectly calculated location. After taking a few touristy photos with Amanda, Courtney turned around and Ace was behind her with the most gorgeous ring and heartfelt words. Completely shocked, and mission accomplished. Well done Ace, well done.
