We’re getting married!!

The first day of 7th grade, I saw this tall blue eyed blondie with the cutest dimples talking to a girl I knew from elementary school. Naturally, I wanted to talk to the cute boy so I went over and said hi so she’d introduce me. From our first interaction, I knew I was gonna marry him someday. Over the course of our junior high career, I set my sights on becoming his best friend. A lot of bothering him & using all of the minutes on his phone later, he finally started to come around to the idea. As our high school years went on, my crush continued, but Aidan didn’t know how he felt about me. Fast forward to the summer of our junior year. My good friend, Zach, had a come to jesus talk with me and told me that it was a no brainer and that Aidan liked me. I laughed, said no, and that was that. The 3rd of July, Aidan made his first move. We went to fireworks with Zach and a girlfriend at the time and on the way back to Zach’s truck, Aidan put his arm around me. I shot Zach a look in the rear view mirror that was a, “WHAT DO I DO NOW” look, and the next day, Aidan asked me to be his girlfriend while we watched fireworks & listened to Clay Walker radio on Pandora in my parent’s back yard (my mom and dads house really seems to be the root of our entire relationship, thanks, Steve & Karen lol). We ventured off to college, battled long distance and found ways to maintain our relationship and love for one another. Aidan ended up moving back to Iowa where we got to start our life together. In the fall of 2020, life got a little crazy. I graduated from college, got my first teaching job, celebrated the life of my sweet grandma that passed away & Aidan continued to work and take classes. Aidan had planned a proposal and we got to celebrate it with our loved ones which brings us here! Aidan is the love of my life, my soulmate in every way, & I’m so lucky we get to do this thing called life together. We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone at our wedding! Love, C + A
