Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (IATA: ATL, ICAO: KATL, FAA LID: ATL), also known as Atlanta Airport, Hartsfield–Jackson, and formerly as the Atlanta Municipal Airport, is the primary international airport serving Atlanta, Georgia. The airport is located 10 mi south of the Downtown Atlanta district, and covers 4,700 acres of land with five parallel runways. Since 1998, Hartsfield-Jackson has been the world's busiest airport by passenger traffic. In 2022, the airport had over 93.6 million passengers, the most of any airport in the world. Hartsfield–Jackson is the primary hub of Delta Air Lines. With just over 1,000 flights a day to 225 domestic and international destinations, the Delta hub is the world's largest airline hub and is considered the first mega-hub in America. The airport is mostly in unincorporated areas of Clayton County, but it spills into the city limits of Atlanta, College Park, and Hapeville, in territory extending into Fulton County. The airport's domestic terminal is served by MARTA's Red and Gold rail lines.

There are several great neighborhoods to stay in that are close to the church, or reception space, or within 10-20 minute car ride of either. Here are some ideas. Ponce City Market (PCM) is located in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. Staying on the north east end of that neighborhood toward PCM would be a good location. Downtown Decatur is a good central neighborhood near the church and reception venue. This is also a very walkable area with great restaurants and shops nearby and easy access to MARTA. https://visitdecaturga.com/ Any where near Emory University would also work. Our church is a block away from Emory and there are some reasonably priced hotels in the area. If you're good with driving, we are located off of Northlake Parkway, right on the Tucker, GA line. There are a couple hotels next door to our community (see above), and lots of decent places to stay nearby.
Travel Note
There are a ton of places to see and eat along The Atlanta Beltline which is accessible from many places throughout the city. Ponce City Market (PCM) connects to the Atlanta BeltLine. So what is it? The Atlanta Beltline is one of the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment programs in the United States. This network of public parks, multi-use trails, transit, and affordable housing along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor is enhancing mobility, connecting intown neighborhoods, and improving economic opportunity and sustainability.
