Cook Forest Canoe Rentals
Rent a kayak, canoe, or tube to float the river! This is one of our favorite things to do in Cook Forest. The river is beautiful and we always have a blast.

This is our favorite casual restaurant in the area. They have great Italian food!
Cooksburg Cafe
In our early days, this was our go-to spot to grab ice cream! Nakota is a big fan of the pup cups.
Hiking
Cook Forest has some beautiful trails. We recommend checking out the AllTrails app for local trail suggestions and details.
Lost In The Wilds Brewing
Lost in the Wilds is a great little brewery with lots of outdoor seating. If you're not a beer drinker they have a lot of other options like craft cocktails, wine, and hard cider. They also have a rotation of weekend food trucks. (20-25 minutes from Cook Forest)
Rail 66 Country Trail
This bike trail actually runs right by the brewery! (20-25 minutes from Cook Forest)
Deer Creek Winery
A good mix of dry and sweet wines, light snacks, a beautiful outdoor patio, and occasional live music. (25-30 minutes from Cook Forest)

The Wayside is our favorite restaurant to visit when looking for a fancier dining experience or celebrating a special occasion. Lauren's dish is the Pan Seared Scallops and Kaleb's go-to pick is the Seafood Bake. We recommend making a reservation! (20 minutes from Cook Forest)
