Amy & Joe met as kids where their families vacation up north in Birchwood, WI. Joe's family owns a cabin and frequents Birchwood while Amy's family visits for a week once a year. Their "first date" was seeing Tarzan on a rainy day when they were 5. For years after that Joe ignored Amy to hangout with her brother and Amy ignored Joe to lay by the pool. After a few skipped summers they rekindled their young love in 2013. At that time, Joe spent his summers at the cabin working at the resort bar. Amy and her family spent most nights during their week long stay at the bar hanging out. On a slow Wednesday night the bar had cleared and Joe was closing down - but he asked Amy to stay for one more drink. The rest is history.

It was a sunny day in Birchwood, WI where Joe & Amy met as kids. Joe had gone golfing that morning and when he returned asked Amy to go for a boat ride around the lake. Joe fished and Amy laid out. As they headed back towards the cabin Amy saw their families gathered on the deck overlooking the lake and insisted they drive by to say hello. Little did she know this made Joe's plan fall into place perfectly. Joe slowed the boat, approached Amy sitting at the front, and got down on one knee. Mikko immediately barked in approval and their families cheered in the distance.
