On July 26, 2021, Steph swiped right and matched with Anthony on Bumble. After chatting online for a few days, Steph hinted that they should meet. On July 30th, Steph and Anthony met for the first time in person at Cappy's on Broadway. Steph remembers falling for Anthony after he told her a fake ghost story. Even though the date only lasted an hour because the restaurant started to close, Anthony sealed the deal when he kissed Steph in the parking lot on the way to her car. Pretty soon, more dates followed and Steph and Anthony deleted their Bumble profiles.

Anthony made a reservation at the same restaurant they met, Cappy's, on the anniversary of their first date. After dinner, a few drinks, Anthony got down on one knee and proposed. The two celebrated with family during a small engagement party back at their home.
