We're getting legally married privately, so we're skipping straight to dinner, drinks, and dancing on Saturday!

What does semi-formal attire mean for Saturday's reception?

Answer

Semi-formal attire, often referred to as cocktail attire, strikes a balance between casual and formal wear. For semi-formal weddings, aim for outfits that are polished and stylish, such as ties and elegant dresses, but also consider more casual formal options. Just avoid going too over-the-top. While we love your children, our wedding is adults only!

Is there parking for the reception?

Answer

Yes, however, since the reception is at Stu's parents' house, we encourage carpooling when possible. Parking spots closest to the house will be reserved for guests requiring special accommodations, with additional parking available in the front yard. For guests staying at our hotel block in South Bend, we will be providing shuttle transportation to and from the reception (on an hourly basis). If you require special parking accommodations, please contact us directly.

What is the shuttle schedule?

Answer

There will be two shuttles leaving from the hotel and taking guests to the reception. The first shuttle will leave the hotel at 5pm and arrive at the reception around 5:30pm. The second shuttle will leave the hotel at 6pm and arrive at the reception around 6:30pm. There will be multiple shuttle options to leave the reception and return to the hotel throughout the evening, starting at 8:30pm.

Is the reception indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Most of the reception will be held inside of a tent, but there will be outdoor areas. Please dress accordingly as the tent is not climate controlled, the outdoor area is grass, and it is late August in the Midwest.

Do I need to stay at the hotel block in South Bend?

Answer

You are welcome to stay at alternate hotels or Airbnbs in the nearby Indiana or Michigan area, but you will either need to take the shuttle service at the hotel block or reserve a taxi to and from Saturday's reception.
