Golden is home to the world’s largest single-site brewery! Guests 21+ can enjoy a guided tour and tasting at the famous Coors Brewery, just minutes from downtown. Reservations are recommended.
Downtown Golden is a charming, historic district nestled at the base of the Rocky Mountain foothills. Lined with locally owned shops, art galleries, coffee houses, and restaurants, it offers a true small-town Colorado feel. Washington Avenue, the main street, is known for its welcoming arch that reads “Howdy Folks! Welcome to Golden” and for its beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Whether you’re strolling along Clear Creek, enjoying craft beer at a local brewery, or browsing boutiques, downtown Golden is the perfect place to explore before and after the wedding.
Located on the campus of the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, the Mines Museum of Earth Science houses over 15,000 square feet of exhibits featuring spectacular gems, minerals, fossils, and meteorites — including a “Goodwill” moon rock from Apollo 17 and the Miss Colorado crown with more than 600 gemstones.
If the weather allows, nearby Lookout Mountain and North Table Mountain trails are open year-round for crisp winter hikes. For skiing and snowboarding, several resorts are just a short drive west into the Rockies.
Golden hosts seasonal events, and even in January, the small-town feel is alive with mountain views and a welcoming atmosphere
