Our story begins in the year 2009, it was our first day of kindergarten. Laura and I grew up together, but it wasn’t until February 8th, 2018 that we began dating. We grew closer during high school. We spent time watching movies, going on coffee dates, runs, or church trips. We grew into each other's largest supporters. We pushed each other to pursue our dreams, attain academic excellence, and we brought out the best versions of ourselves. I’ll never forget the love that I felt through training for and achieving a state championship, or watching Laura grow into a great runner through our training during the Covid-19 pandemic. Leading up to our high school graduation, our futures were uncertain, but we both landed in Chapel Hill, marking the next chapter of our story. Undergrad brought its own challenges: significantly harder courseloads, a new environment, and greater responsibilities; however, these new circumstances brought us closer. Through our busy schedules, we learned to prioritize our relationship. We found time to share through late night study sessions, lunch dates, and workouts together. Through the rigor and demand of our lives, the maturity of our relationship began to realize itself. During late-night study sessions, I recall a shift in my perspective when I would look across the table at Laura: more and more I began to see Laura as a wife, mother, and life-long partner. Over time, I only grew more devoted to our future. MCAT preparation was a brutal experience that defined a period of both of our lives. Laura’s unwavering love and support, through this period, sealed it for me; I bought the ring. On May 13, 2025, I proposed to Laura over a candlelit dinner at Ryan’s Restaurant. And now we will get married on June 13, 2026! We are excited to further grow and flourish as a couple, and we look forward to celebrating with all the wonderful people that have impacted our lives!
