Can I Bring My Kids to the Wedding?

Answer

John and Victoria respectfully request No Children Under the Age of 21 at Both the Ceremony and Reception. Though we love your little ones, this will be a formal adult event, including an open bar at a not kid-friendly venue space. Thank you for understanding.

Can I Bring a Plus One?

Answer

Due to the limited space and seating, we simply can't afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. Plus ones are therefore by invitation only. Thank you for understanding.

Where is the Ceremony?

Answer

The Ceremony will be held at the Century Club of Rochester, located at 566 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14607. The Reception space is directly across the street from the Ceremony location. More information regarding this space is available by clicking the 'Schedule' section at the top of the screen.

Where is the Reception?

Answer

The Reception will be held at the Rooftop Ballroom of the Strathallen Hotel, located at 550 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14607. The Reception venue is directly across the street from the Ceremony location. More information regarding this space is available by clicking the 'Schedule' section at the top of the screen.

What Should I Wear?

Answer

This will be a Formal Event, so Cocktail Attire and Up. Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks.

Where Do We Park?

Answer

The Strathallen Hotel, which is our Reception location and directly across from the Ceremony venue, has two parking lots located next to the hotel. The entrance to these lots is on the side of the street the hotel is on. The Ceremony venue across the street Does Not have their own parking lot. The spa Ape + Canary parking lot is Off Limits, Reserved Only for Spa Customers. Please park either in The Strathallen Parking Lots, or on the street.

What Will The Weather Be Like?

Answer

Both the Ceremony and Reception will be held Indoors, and the venues are directly across the street from one another. This way, regardless of the weather, we will be able to enjoy this special occasion with all of you!

What Will Be The Order of Events?

Answer

We ask that Guests Arrive at 4:00 pm. The Ceremony begins at 4:30 pm and ends at 5:00 pm. Cocktail Hour, where drinks and hors d'oeurves will be served, will begin at 5:00 pm and end at 5:45 pm. The Wedding Party introductions will start at 5:45 pm, where John and I will be announced as 'The Cottrells' for the very first time! We have a couple fun activities planned, and then Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm. We will have some more planned activities and dances, and then open the dance floor! Last song will be at 9:55 pm. We hope this schedule helps you all to plan your days. We are looking forward to celebrating our special day with you all!

What Time Should We Arrive?

Answer

Please Arrive by 4 pm, as it will take time for everyone to enter and take their seats. The Ceremony will Start at 4:30 pm on Friday, September 20th, 2024. Once the Ceremony begins, no more guests will be allowed to enter so as to eliminate embarrassing situations and not disrupt the ceremony for others. We will welcome you at the reception at 5 pm.

Can I Take Pictures During the Ceremony and Post On Social Media?

Answer

John and Victoria are having an Unplugged Ceremony, which means Only our Photographer will be taking pictures during the ceremony. This will allow the Bride, Groom, and all of our lovely guests to be truly present at the Ceremony. We will post the Wedding Ceremony Photos Ourselves on social media as soon as we get them from the Photographer. We have plans to ensure that everyone has a chance to take photos of and with us, so be sure to follow the Officiant and Wedding Planner's instructions during the Ceremony! Feel free to take LOTS of pictures during the Reception! Stay tuned for information regarding the Reception Photos; we are looking into services where we can all take photos using a Unique Chatroom or Hashtag.

What Happens Between the Ceremony and Reception?

Answer

The Ceremony will end at 5 pm on Friday, September 20th, 2024. Guests will then be guided to The Strathallen Hotel across the street, and can take the elevator to the Rooftop Ballroom. Cocktail Hour will begin, and guests can have drinks and hors d'oeurves while enjoying the view of the Rochester skyline. During this time, the Bridal Party and Immediate Family will be asked to take the Formal Photographs with the Bride and Groom. The Bridal Party followed by the Bride and Groom will be introduced at the Reception, and dinner will be served at 6 pm.

Answer

Dinner will be served at 6 pm on Friday, September 20th at the Reception. There will also be a Cocktail Hour from 5 pm to 5:45 pm; prior to dinner, and immediately following the Ceremony. Cocktail Hour will include Drinks and Hors D'Oeurves.

What Sides are Included with the Entree Options?

Dinner will be served at 6 pm at the Rooftop Reception at The Strathallan Hotel. Each entree has it's own delectable sides that pair with them. There will also be a starter salad of Petite Mixed Greens with Shaved Market Vegetables & a Red Wine Vinaigrette served before the entrees. Below are the Entree Options, along with their full menu and ingredient descriptions. 1) Certified Angus Beef 6oz Filet with Roasted Carrots, Caramelized Pearl Onions, Potato Puree & Bordelaise Sauce 2) Crispy New York State Duck Breast with a Vanilla, Honey, & Ginger Glaze, Roasted Young Carrots, Thyme, Mixed Grain Pilaf, Dried Apricots, & an Orange Jus 3) Slow Roasted Chicken Breast with Smoked Paprika, Tomatoes, Pearl Onions, Piquillo Peppers, White Wine, Toasted Farro Risotto, & Broccolini 4) Roasted Cauliflower Steak with a Tabbouleh of Cauliflower, Pine Nuts, Raisins, Aged Balsamic, & a Preserved Lemon Sauce* *Vegetarian, Vegan, Contains Nuts

Will There Be An Open Bar?

Answer

Yes, which is part of the reason the Cottrell Regan Wedding will be a 21 and Older Only Event. The bar will be open during cocktail hour, and wine options will be offered during dinner. The wine options include a Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and a Sauvignon Blanc.

Do I Have to Mail Back My RSVP, or Can I RSVP Online?

Answer

Either! John and Victoria provided the RSVP Card for those who prefer mail, but you can instead RSVP right Here on our Website by clicking on the 'RSVP' Section. RSVPs will need to be received by July 1st, 2024.

When is the RSVP Deadline?
