Please RSVP by July 15th.
We are so excited to celebrate with all of our family and friends! However, due to venue space limitations, we kindly ask that only those named on your invitation attend.
Our ceremony will be indoors at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The cocktail hour and the reception will take place outdoors under a tent in the Rose Garden at the Perry Hotel. The ceremony and reception venue are both in downtown Petoskey and are approximately a 5 minute walk from each other.
The ceremony begins at 2pm. We ask that guests arrive no later than 1:45pm to ensure everyone has time to take their seats.
The dress code for our wedding is garden formal. Guests are more than welcome to wear standard formal attire - a suit for the gentlemen, while ladies can opt for a floor-length gown or formal cocktail dress. Guests will mainly walk on paved pathways, but may need to step on grass throughout the evening. For that reason, thin heels are not recommended. If you’d like to lean into the ‘garden’ aspect of the dress code, feel free to wear lighter colors and fabrics. August in Petoskey can be warm during the day and we’d like everyone to be comfortable! There is a chance it may get a little chilly once the sun goes down, so please check the weather ahead of time and plan accordingly.
Yes, there is approximately a two hour gap due the church’s ceremony timing requirements. We recommend visiting one of the many attractions in downtown Petoskey or relaxing at your hotel during this time. Check out our ' Things to Do ' page for more suggestions!
Yes, we have a room block at the Perry Hotel. Please note there are multiple weddings at the Perry, so there is limited availability. We also have a block at the Holiday Inn Express, which is a 5-10 minute drive from both the ceremony and reception venues. Refer to the ' Travel ' page for booking details.
There is street parking available near both the ceremony and reception venues. We recommend walking between venues or using the provided shuttle service to avoid dealing with the headache of parking on a busy summer Saturday.
Please do not plan on using an uber/lyft, as they are very limited in Petoskey. We have reserved a 14 person shuttle to help transport guests staying at the Holiday Inn on the day of the ceremony. There are more than 14 guests staying at the Holiday Inn, so all guests will not be able to fit on the last shuttle. We appreciate your patience and ask that you plan ahead to catch an earlier shuttle if you plan on relying on the shuttle service to get to the ceremony. Starting at 12:30pm, the shuttle will run between the Holiday Inn and the church (which is located in the downtown historical district). As we ask that all guests plan to arrive at the church by 1:45pm, the last shuttle will leave at approximately 1:40pm. A loop between the church and the Holiday Inn takes approximately 15 minutes, so if the shuttle is not there, please wait for it to return. If you would like to drive separately to the ceremony and return your car to the hotel prior to the reception, the shuttle will be available to transport guests from the Holiday Inn to the Perry Hotel from 4pm to 5:30pm. After dinner, the shuttle will be available until midnight to take guests back to the Holiday Inn.
To ensure the shuttle is being used most efficiently, it will only be running between the Holiday Inn and the church or reception venue. If you staying somewhere near the Holiday Inn and would like to take the shuttle, you are more than welcome to use it. However it will not be making trips to other hotels or locations.
Yes, the church has an accessible ramp on the side of building and the reception venue has accessible entrances and elevators.
Yes, please let us know of any dietary restrictions when you RSVP and we will work with the venue to make sure an option is available for you.
