Bumble to Be - By Zach

Rock Collection - 10/01/2018

It started with a swipe of my finger, which would initiate a sequence of events that would positively shift my life forever. At the time, my life was drastically different and I was as some would say an “undomesticated” bachelor, primarily concerned with “how many sequences he could sequence from a depositional sequence of rocks”. The blue-led light glared across my glasses through the dark night, bringing me the image of a beautiful, red-headed women who took me back and made me wish that she would also swipe right for me. In subsequent days, my wish came true we were matched. After she let my initial greeting message expire, I made one last attempt at communication by extending the match and only then did she respond! We quickly scheduled a time and day for our first date, focused on getting Margs and tacos during taco Tuesday. From the moment I sat down, I was unusually comfortable and I quickly felt the soothing feeling that I was speaking with someone who I had known for years. We talked for a few hours, finding common interests in several areas, which peaked with our excitement with each others LOVE of rocks and minerals. Which then start a deep discussion of each others collections! From that day, our story then began to be carved in stone……..

The Proposal - By Emily

12/13/2020

Family Picture Day - At least that what I thought! Little did I know, Zach was up to all of the good. He had planned a romantic get-a-way at a cabin in Hocking Hills. With the day quickly approaching I started to ask to many questions to some of my closest friends. Zach was concerned I had caught onto his original plan and acted quickly! With a little help from the family he was able to pull off an amazing surprise on family picture day. I was dressed for the occasion and ready to move around my parents property, all for the perfect shot! Little did I know the boys disappeared to help Zach set up while my mom and sister tried to have me exit the house at the perfect moment. Me being me made this much more complicated and difficult for the two of them! As we finally walked back to the back of my parents barn, I was confused as to why my sister persisted on my entering the torn apart camper first, as you can see its entirety from the doorway. Much to my amazement my soon to be fiancé was down on one knee waiting patiently for my arrival. The day could not have been better and I am so very lucky to have a man like Zachary M K Cotter in my life.
