Can I bring my kids along?

Answer

If your children are not listed when you RSVP for the ceremony or reception on our website, unfortunately we’re unable to accommodate them due to the venue’s guest count limit. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause! If you're attending the Decorah reception, your kids are welcome!

Where should we stay?

Answer

We would recommend looking for a Vrbo, Airbnb, or hotel in the nearby towns of Greenville, Rockford, or Grand Rapids. Our reception venue also has a campground! We would love it if you rented a campsite after the reception and joined us the next morning for breakfast at the Wabasis Lake Open Shelter. What's there to do in Grand Rapids?

We love west Michigan, and hope you take some time to explore while you're in town! If you haven't visited a Lake Michigan beach, you've gotta! Our favorite beaches are Saugatuck Dunes, Oval Beach, North Beach Park, Flower Creek Dunes Nature Preserve, and Hoffmaster State Park. Other non-lake natural areas we love (and Kendra works in!) include Saul Lake Bog Nature Preserve and The Highlands. Our favorite neighborhood spots (that we can walk to from our home!) for food and/or a drink include: Brewery Vivant, Black Napkin, Eastern Kille (Wealthy Street), Logan's Alley, Živio, Nantucket Baking Company, Little Africa, and Taco Borracho! We also love shoppin' and snackin' at the Fulton Street Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.

Anything else we should know?

We want our wedding to be a safe environment for all our loved ones! Because of this, we ask that you please take appropriate precautions in the 2 weeks preceding our wedding to ensure the good health of all attendees. This includes staying up-to-date on your flu and COVID-19 vaccines, masking in public places (including the planes & trains you may take to get to Michigan!), and avoiding large indoor gatherings as possible. It's a collective effort to keep each other safe, and we appreciate your willingness to take part in that effort! <3
