Our Story from Sam’s Perspective

Amelia and I met in a class in high school, we didn’t start getting to know each other until a few months later on a field trip to a local college. Shortly after, we exchanged contact information and began talking. After a few dates and some trips to the park, I officially asked her out on July 4th of 2022. Thrilled that she said yes, we spent the majority of our senior year of high school together studying, going on picnics, walks, movie nights, go-cart racing, and enjoying late night snacks. Our relationship grew closer when we decided to go to college together, and we remained best friends throughout our 3 years at Western Kentucky University. Through stressful nights spent studying, hundreds of dinner dates, trips to the beach, ski resorts, and national parks, we developed an undeniable connection and love for one another. Shortly after our college graduation, I asked her to marry me. Luckily for me, she said yes! It is now my pleasure to invite you to attend our wedding where we will be tying the knot and saying yes to forever.

Our Story from Amelia’s Perspective

I met Samuel in English class our junior year of high school. Through shy glimpses at each other between classes and assignments, I started to develop a rather strong crush. Our junior class toured UofL in May of 2022. I found myself trying to find a spot next to him when I could, and noticed he did too. After the campus tour, we travelled back to our high school campus, where Sam put a sticker on the back of my car and eventually got my phone number. And we’ve been best friends since. The summer before senior year is when Sam asked me to be his girlfriend, July 4th of 2022. Through high school prom, college applications, and many stressful decisions, we were there for each other. We attended Western Kentucky University together, making the most of what we had away from home. We’ve experienced so much together over the past four years; our first apartments, first vacations together, many concerts, road trips, dinners, and even a few graduations. Over the years, we have learned so much about each other, and have grown to love each other so much more. Shortly after college graduation is when Sam proposed, and I couldn’t have been more excited. I am so blessed to get the opportunity to marry my best friend, someone with such a kind heart who knows me so well.
