Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (Liberia Guanacaste Airport (LIR))
The Liberia Guanacaste Airport (LIR) is the best option to get to Tamarindo. The car/shuttle ride is about an hour and a half (give or take with traffic) from the airport to downtown Tamarindo. Please refer to their website or your hotel for transportation accommodations.

Transportation - From Airport and getting around town
Reach out to your hotel or airbnb host to inquire about shuttle services to and from the airport. If we have large groups arriving at the same time we will work to reserve a shuttle from the airport to town. No ubers from airport. Taxis are available and accept US Dollars. Ubers are readily available within the city of Tamarindo and prices are typically less than $10 when we visited in January 2025. Daily golf carts are available to rent. Everything is fairly close by and walking is a great way to explore the city.

Occidental Tamarindo Hotel is an all-inclusive resort with beach access on the quieter end of Playa Langosta. It is a short walk to the wedding and reception. You can enjoy the pool, sunsets and watching the locals surf.

Diria Beach Resort is centrally located in town and overlooks the beach. Some rooms are located within the ocean front area just a few steps from the beach, while others are across main street. See hotel map for details. This is a great place to stay if you want a resort style experience.

This boutique hotel is in a great location - quick walk to the beach, centrally located around restaurants, shops and nightlife. A grocery store is conveniently located nearby . A canopy of tree surrounds the pool area that sits next to the restaurant. Hotel Pasatiempo is a great value and highly recommended by the bride and groom.

Short Term Rentals (Airbnb & Vrbo)
The wedding and reception will be at Villa Concha located in Playa Longosta. This area is a quieter neighborhood with a great selection of rental homes for groups. 15-20ish minute walk to the center of Tamarindo. Tamarindo beach is the most vibrant area and has the best beach access. Stay here if you're looking for beach bars, shopping and activities like surfing lessons, horseback riding and massages on the beach.
