Hubbard Park
If you're looking for a place to get out in nature, Hubbard Park has several trails with beautiful scenery. Castle Craig stands at the peak for quite the view, too!
Cava Restaurant
Rated one of the most romantic restaurants in Connecticut, Cava is certainly worth stopping in to see. Each room from indoors to the rooftop is decorated with its own theme, changed quarterly, that covers walls and ceilings with flowers, crystals and more. We recommend a reservation.
East Coast Greenway
The East Coast Greenway connects Maine to Florida and is a recent Bucket List checkbox shared in Bicycling Magazine. There are 200 miles that stretch throughout Connecticut, connecting a variety of towns and landscapes. The "Rails to Trails" Greenway runs close to our home in Derby and also has accesses near the recommended accommodations in Southington. If you're looking to get outside, this is a great trail system you can look for while you're here.
Hawk Ridge Winery
What a view! Hawk Ridge has beautiful accommodations where you can stop for both food and tastings. The Winery overlooks a large meadow and out into a beautiful mountain-scape. We recommend reservations at this time, but you can also bring along a blanket and your own treats to enjoy in the fields.
