Our Story

Josh and I met at church! He was serving behind the scenes running lighting, and I was on stage leading worship. In a lot of ways, that was the perfect picture of us from the very beginning. He’s more quiet and steady, and I’m… not. Somehow, God brought together two very different personalities and made it feel natural from the start. From the beginning, I was… not subtle. At all. Let’s just say I made my interest very clear, and thankfully, he didn’t run the other way. Looking back, it’s funny how even in that, God was already starting to write something bigger than we could see. We have a mutual friend who kept bringing us together, and in those in-between moments, laughing, talking, and just doing life, something secure and meaningful began to grow. One of the things that meant the most to me early on was seeing Josh as a father. The way he loves Joseph so naturally and wholeheartedly showed me so much about his heart. It was something I deeply admired and something God used to draw me even closer. What’s most meaningful to us is that our relationship truly began to flourish when we both came to a place of surrender, telling God that we wanted Him to take full control and that we desired His will above our own. From that point on, everything changed. What we were building no longer felt like something we were striving to figure out, but something God was faithfully leading. Looking back, we can see His hand in every detail, from the place we met, to the people who surrounded us, to the way our relationship grew. Our story is a reflection of His faithfulness and a reminder that when you trust Him fully, He writes something more beautiful than you could imagine. We’re so grateful for the way the Lord brought us together and so excited for the life we get to build, rooted in faith, love, and Jesus at the center! “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” -Proverbs 3:5–6✨
