Anthony and Corynn always joke that there was no reason why they should have matched on Plenty of Fish and that there was someone, up there, looking out for the both of them. Anthony saw a "cute girl with glasses" and decided to reach out to one last girl before giving up on the app. Corynn was on her way home from Texas and decided that she was not going to search for anyone, anymore. She was going to focus on finishing college. One day she got a message from "a total bot" and she decided to open it and found a 'book of a message' from Anthony and they haven't stopped talking since.

If you ask either Anthony or Corynn, they will tell you there was love and a feeling of respect between the two of them since their first phone call. However, both of them held off on saying the words 'I love you' because they didn't want to scare off the other, by saying it too soon. Even though they didn't say the words, they made sure to show their love through actions and looks. After months of holding back and censoring their words, both of them had had enough. It was the MLB postseason 2019, the Dodgers were losing and all was right with the world. It was a typical date night and they decided to go get Nations burgers with Corynn's dog Allie, drive to the PG&E parking lot and listen to the game. They finished eating and Corynn turned to look at Anthony. She couldn't hold it back anymore and muttered beneath her tears, "I love you". Anthony looked at her with disappointment and said, "I hate you!" He then pulled out a letter from his back pocket and said, "read it". The letter was the most beautifully written love letter. He talked about how Corynn made him feel and how in love he is with her. Corynn was sobbing by the end of the letter and looked up to find Anthony crying too and he said, "I love you." That night was monumental for both of them because Anthony had never been told 'I love you' first, and Corynn had never been the first to say it.
