What is the dress code? / Quy định về trang phục là gì?
Answer
Semi-formal meets disco glam. Dress to dazzle in your own style! Think elevated looks with a touch of drama or flair. Bold, vibrant or jewel tone colors. Funky ties or tops. Sequins, metallics, ruffles, flowers and feathers welcome. We've shared a mood board above in case you wanted some more guidance. If disco glam isn't your vibe, wear whatever you'll feel extra good in. That's all we care about! We want you to look back at photos of our wedding and think, "Dang, I looked hot." Yes we do. Please look under the Travel tab of our website. We have room blocks at Marriott Allen Convention Center for $149/night and at Holiday Inn Express Dallas NE Allen for #109/night. While the wedding ceremony begins at 5:30pm, please arrive 10-15 minutes early to give yourselves time to get settled in. Lễ cưới bắt đầu lúc 5:30 chiều, vui lòng đến sớm hơn 10-15 phút để có thời gian ổn định chỗ ngồi.

How do I get to the venue? / Tôi có thể đến địa điểm bằng cách nào?
Answer
Uber/Lyft are readily available and highly encouraged. If you plan to drive, please consider carpooling.

Is the venue outdoor or indoor? / Địa điểm tổ chức là ngoài trời hay trong nhà?
Answer
The ceremony will be held outdoors. Cocktail hour will be outdoors under a covered pavilion. The reception will be indoors.

Do y'all have a registry?
Answer
While a gift is not expected but greatly appreciated, a lì xì (lucky red envelope) w/cash or check are traditionally given to the couple during the reception. The giving of red envelopes is a way to symbolically bestow happiness, luck and good wishes to the couple. (There are no registries in Vietnamese culture). For safety, we’ll also accept Zelle or Venmo.

Will we get a chance to talk to the bride and groom?
Answer
Yes! Cory and Tien will be taking pictures with each guest during cocktail hour and will be greeting each dinner table during the reception. See below to learn more about table greetings.
Question
What should we expect for greeting tables/chào bàn?
Answer
The couple will visit each table for a toast during the reception. Get ready for cheers, laughter, and probably a few “1, 2, 3 dzô!” Your table can come up with a quick game to play with the couple or just have someone give a toast. This would also be the time to give the couple lì xì (lucky red envelope).

What are we having for dinner?
Answer
Great question. Dinner will be provided by Andy's Catering Co and will consist of a Vietnamese/Chinese fusion buffet. We promise there will be a little something for everyone. Please be sure to notate dietary restrictions on your RSVP.
