Wedding Party

Marybeth

Maid of Honor

A friend of Natalie’s since freshman year at The Hill School, Marybeth has been through thick and thin with her in the time since, even attending a year of college at Gettysburg together before Natalie abandoned her for Villanova. Post college, the two suffered together through work at SEI before Natalie again abandoned her for a job in NYC. After hopping around to a few jobs, Marybeth followed in Natalie’s footsteps by obtaining her MBA from Villanova and quickly landed her dream job as an adult diaper saleswoman. She has budded into a mature adult, spending her time monitoring her stock in White Claw Hard Seltzer and caring more about her dog Bernie than her boyfriend Erik. As a strong proponent of the Irish Goodbye, look for Marybeth nowhere to be found by 10pm.

Jay

Best Man

A close second when comparing the best male Casey children, Jay has been more than just a brother to Cory over the years. Although a full-grown man himself, Cory always thinks of him as a little brother, even allowing Jay to win every round of golf they have played together since 2014. At first glance, you wouldn’t think Jay a man of taste, but he has a true passion for the finer things in life, such as Nicolas Cage films, Guy Fieri cuisine, and living in converted attics. Cory and Jay have shared a great deal of unique experiences together, from enduring their father attempting to order at literally any drive-through restaurant, to meeting John Daly in a Hooters parking lot during Masters Week in Augusta. Look for Jay by the band aggressively requesting “One Week” by Barenaked Ladies.

Jess

Bridesmaid

Natalie and Jess first developed their friendship on The Hill School diving team where they excelled at making clean entries despite their chest handicap. As with Courtney, the two grew their relationship in Avalon by partying with French Canadian youths and absolutely annihilating their Halloween costumes year after year at Jess’ Brooklyn Apartment. When she isn’t sending Paris Hilton memes from the Simple Life, Jess enjoys committing petty larceny in Sea Isle and whipping up unique cocktails on Instagram while telling her fiancé Steve to shut up while she is talking. Look for Jess on the dance floor perfecting the Lindsay Lohan Ibiza dance video, sneaking away for a cigarette by the fire pit, and coordinating an alcohol heist with her fiancé.

Brian

Groomsman

Often confused as Cory’s brother until he gained 30 pounds of muscle mass and a full beard overnight at age 13, Brian is distinctly positioned as the only person in the wedding party to have attended grammar school, high school and college with Cory. Post college, they have shared their love of travelling by visiting multiple countries together, providing Cory with the unique experience of watching Brian fall asleep on the bar on three separate continents. In his spare time, Brian enjoys rescuing stray dogs from former Iron Curtain nations, showcasing bread he bakes on Instagram, and hunting bugs that threaten his garden during lunch breaks. Look for Brian pleading his case with the venue director as to why he should be able to showcase his average rollerblade footwork on the dance floor.

Courtney

Bridesmaid

Another friend of Natalie’s from her days at Hill, Courtney and Natalie’s relationship developed from their adventures in Avalon and NYC. Whether watching Skypala black out at the Princeton, or abducting transplant Californians from the streets of Brooklyn, the two have created incredible memories together. In the past year, Courtney has moved up in the world, buying her first home in Philly and obtaining her boater’s license that will inevitably lead to a lawsuit. In her spare time, she enjoys allocating an unnecessary amount of her personal life to scary movie marathons, racking up egregious traffic tickets in Italy, and feasting on unlimited salad & breadsticks at the Midtown Olive Garden. Look for Courtney micromanaging the wedding planner on how to improve day-of wedding operations.

Matt

Groomsman

With more cars than Xzibit, you might at first think that Matt is a used car salesman, but he is in fact a reliable financial advisor if you are for some reason looking for investment opportunities in the Bible Belt. With one of his strongest qualities being his calm, bubbly demeanor, it is no wonder that the world has never seen another person so unphased and unapologetic for making people regularly wait for him to arrive. Matt is also a true beach companion, and always makes himself available so long as you remind him of what he would miss out on if he said "no". Find him during the wedding to ask for advice on home improvement needs. Look for Matt strolling into the wedding with a smile on his face sometime around the cake cutting.

Kyle

Bridesmaid

As sister to the groom, Kyle has already shared some strong memories with Natalie, and they continue to despite Natalie tricking Kyle into believing her teeth were falling out of her skull on New Years in 2017. In her spare time, Kyle moonlights as a trivia specialist, where she excels at putting Cory in his place when he always assumes he is right. If you are planning a trip to Disney World, inquire with Kyle as she is a living, breathing travel guide who has visited the destination more times than Carson Wentz has thrown interceptions in the 2020 NFL season. Kyle is also a holiday master, sporting an ornament collection that would easily convert the Grinch and creating gift wrapping designs that rival Martha Stewart. Look for Kyle trespassing in the owl cage after hours.

Chad

Groomsman

A close friend of Cory’s from his non-profit days at City Year post college, Chad and Cory have remained close through their shared love of Philly sports, golf, hip-hop, and generally nonsensical humor that normal people shun. These shared interests have led to great memories, such as attending an unforgettable Method Man and Redman performance at the Electric Factory, crashing Eagles charity events, and consistently losing the annual memorial golf tournament they participate in as a team. Beyond their friendship, Chad is known for caring about his cats more than he does most people, and also serves as the emergency pet sitter for the Mannino family. Look for Chad wandering the meadows outside of the banquet hall attempting to woo feral kittens.

Mariel

Bridesmaid

Aside from being a great friend and confidant, Natalie credits Mariel with bringing life to her brother’s NYC apartment and teaching him that it is possible to eat food without purchasing it from a third-party food service. Once Natalie got past the fact that Mariel doesn’t like cheese, they have bonded over other forms of food, unique candle scents, and Mariel’s superb taste in eyewear. After a failed foray into the botanical oil industry under the LLC “Doyle’s Oils”, Mariel has created a strong career for herself in the financial industry and plans to obtain her Masters from Johns Hopkins. Look for Mariel attempting to revive her original career dreams by slinging tinctures of essential oils to inebriated wedding guests.

Nick

Groomsman

When not laboring as a company man to one of the largest banks in the world, Nick can be found near the top of the list of factors contributing to the depletion of America’s water supply due to his legendarily long showers. Prior to becoming his soon to be brother in law, Nick was truly an essential part of helping Cory settle into NYC by personally introducing him to some of the city’s best places, most importantly Keens Steakhouse. Of all of Cory’s New York friends, there was never anyone more reliable than Nick to come out for drinks and quickly insist he needed to leave to be in bed by 11pm. Look for Nick checking his cell phone to find out if the Phillies bullpen blew what should have been another insurmountable lead and asking the wait staff if they have any Coca-Cola.

Melissa

Bridesmaid

After connecting many years ago on the streets of West Chester and bonding over their ghastly relationships, Natalie and Melissa have amassed a litany of memories together, including punishingly painful tubing trips on French Creek, ordering unreasonable amounts of food at Wawa after their many nights out as Rams Head and Barnaby’s VIPS, causing a dual bike/car accident in Avalon for being too damn sexy, and witnessing Melissa’s son run wild and naked through his own birthday party. Although born in the 90s, Melissa’s free spirit is more reminiscent of the 60s, as is apparent in her often NSFW snapchats, obsession with nature, and dedication to basically just being really chill, dude. Look for Melissa on stage with her ukulele leading the band in a Janis Joplin hit of her choosing.

George

Groomsman

Almost unrecognizable from his 5-year stint at Shippensburg University, George hasn’t let his small stature keep him from excelling as a consummate professional since graduating in 2011, being nominated to the Who’s Who Under 5’ 8” list at Comcast for three years running. When he isn’t harking back to the days when he felt most important as a patron entering Orky’s Bar & Grille, this Delco native enjoys spending his time consuming incredibly low ABV beers, complimenting himself in the third person, and fantasizing that he is friends with Meek Mill. Look for George on the dance floor sporting his famous basketball dance and remaining overly confident that all of the women present find him attractive.

Sarina

Bridesmaid

Natalie and Sarina’s relationship has spanned across two major cities and countless overpriced cocktails. They have explored a plethora of swanky establishments together, feasting on foie gras burgers in the Boom Boom Room, drinking out of elf glasses at the Nomad Hotel, and perusing Pablo Escobar’s mansion in Tulum, Mexico. When she isn’t recreating 90s hip-hop fashion fads in Harlem, Sarina can be found cruising through NYC, slicing and dicing hair like Edward Scissorhands, including many personal trips to Natalie’s apartment to get wine drunk with her while servicing Cory’s unruly hair. Look for Sarina requesting a personal vat of hot chili oil for her wedding meal and seeking out the perfect venue Insta shot. @1.800.sarina

Ted

Groomsman

Although best known for once sharing a high school english class with Paul Dano, Ted has become very successful in his own right. When not working in NYC’s financial industry through every waking hour of daylight, Ted can be found setting single day purchasing records on Amazon, insulting the speed of his friend’s consumption of Miller High Life, hoarding more movie tickets than Fandango, and putting his pets up for adoption. Like Nick, Ted was incredibly welcoming and gracious in introducing Cory to interesting aspects of NYC, including events like a Holi paint and music festival hosted at an abandoned grain silo in the South Bronx that ultimately ruined the interior of an Uber. Look for Ted by the bar rating the quality of the Manhattans.

Liza

Bridesmaid

HI Y’ALL! Hailing from the south and making sure everyone knows it, Liza’s vocal output is only outmatched by her devotion to a friendship with Natalie that has spanned 17 years. As an adult, Liza works in real estate and now serves on the board of her high school that nearly had her removed in 2006 for perceived disciplinary infractions. Natalie and Liza have bonded over some incredibly important topics, including skittles brand candy, Liza’s inability to eat pizza due to a newly developed lactose intolerance, and teen phenom musical artist Jojo. The duo even once took a deeply cultural journey to London for a Spice Girls concert. Look for Liza playing up her southern accent around suitable men at the wedding. BYE Y’ALL!

Pete

Groomsman

Early in their lives, Pete and Cory literally grew up two houses from each other. They have shared great memories; playing on the same championship winning little league teams, graduating elementary and high school together, and supporting each other during trips to the emergency room on separate and much different occasions over 10 years apart. As an adult, Pete is a smart, successful physical therapist, but still relies heavily on sound advice that he receives from his wife on a regular basis. You will likely overhear her wisely suggest that he mix in a coffee and a water at some point during the wedding. Look for Pete seeking out and talking to the Maid of Honor about obtaining a bulk discount on her sales products for personal use.

Alex

Usher

Another long-time friend of Natalie’s from The Hill School, Alex and Natalie have shared great memories together, including partying at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Natalie receiving a 100+ MPH speeding ticket in his car, and Alex throwing up in the bottom of her trundle bed and closing it without telling a soul. In his professional life, Alex sells large pieces of machinery to manufacturing clients, but can be found in his personal time slinking off to Southeast Asia to perfect Muay Thai boxing techniques, walking through screen doors, and frequenting run of the mill bars in Philadelphia’s Chinatown. Look for Alex chatting with wedding guests about the health benefits of the Keto diet and sharing choice meat recipes.

Eric

Usher

Eric’s relationship with Natalie and Cory dates back to his glory days working with Natalie at Lord Abbett, a company so on their game that Eric literally got away with taking naps during his lunch breaks. When he isn’t hailing ambulances after severing tendons in his hand while cutting avocados, Eric enjoys spamming people’s phones with lengthy videos they will never watch, perfecting various accents from NYC’s five boroughs, and leveraging his cousin’s professional relationship with the CEO of Barstool sports for his personal gain. Look for Eric pressuring various wedding guests to check out some sick new podcast he has been listening to this year.
