What is your wedding hashtag?

#WhatIfRightNow This idea stems from 2 very meaningful themes from early on in our relationship. There are always "what if's" in life that can hold us back. Particularly if we allow ourselves to fixate on unknowns that may or may not happen in the future. At the onset of our relationship, I asked Emily a very simple, yet profound question... "What if we just made each other really happy?" Together, we have found tremendous peace in staying very present with each other "right now". Until over time, many "right nows" stack one on another, and another, and another until one day you're left with years of love, presence, joy, and gratitude that you could have never foreseen up ahead... but can only marvel at while looking back. <3

Is there a wedding party?

Answer

We decided not to have a traditional "wedding party". We have so many dear friends and family and felt it was nearly impossible to choose who to include and not include without having 20 plus people on each side! :D Our wedding is very small. Just know that if you are there, you are incredibly dear to us and we're so thrilled to have you!

How is the weather in Hatteras Island in Nov?

Answer

The average temperature in November is a high of 66° and an average low of 50°. Most of the ceremony and reception are scheduled to take place outside. We have secured an open air tent with optional heaters if it is cold. The Inn is right on the water so we expect there to be a breeze. If you get cold easily, you may want to consider bringing a pashmina, scarf, or light jacket to remain comfortable. In the event of inclement weather, the reception will be moved indoors to the restaurant at the Inn.

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

Answer

Guests will walk down a wooden pier to "Sunset Point" for the ceremony. (PLEASE NOTE: you may want to be careful of narrow heels and may want to consider wearing block heels, wedges, or flats to keep from heels going between the slats/panels of the pier and/or sinking into the grassy areas.) Dinner and reception will take place on a large, open air tented deck right next to ceremony.

Will there be a vegetarian dinner option available?

Answer

Yes, we are offering a delicious vegetarian dinner option: Thai Curry Vegetable Stir Fry – Coconut Cream and Red Curry over Jasmin Rice. If you have any other dietary restrictions, please let us know as soon as possible if you'll need a special meal and we'll work to ensure it's available.

Are there any Covid-19 protocols to be aware of?

May I bring a plus one?

Answer

We have arranged for a very small wedding so space is very limited. If you would like to bring a guest who was not included on the invite, please reach out to Emily or Cory directly and let us know and we will try to accommodate you if at all possible.

Is there a dress code?

Our wedding is rather flexible in terms of dress code. We would love everyone to look nice but most importantly be comfortable.
