During a year that turned out to be tough for most ended up being our best. We connected on a dating app called Hinge right around Christmas 2019. It was immediately apparent that we were both looking for our lifelong partner. After Cory got home from spending time with his family in California, we decided that we should take our connection to the next level and meet. Our first date was at Nico Heirloom Kitchen in Downtown Gilbert where we spent the next three hours talking about everything under the sun as we each milked a single glass of wine! Cory refers to it as the best and least expensive date he has ever been on. After that single date, we both left knowing that we'd see each other again. From then on, we hung out every chance we got. Most of our time spent together consisted of day trips to explore Arizona's outdoor attractions with packed lunches and a few beers. After just a couple of months dating, we found out that we were expecting. Although unplanned, we were so excited because we wanted kids so badly. We moved into our first house in August, got engaged in November, and had our beautiful baby boy - Hudson Wade Powell January 2nd, 2021. We feel extremely blessed to have finally found each other and to have started our beautiful little family which also includes our amazing fur baby, Gus.
