After much thought and prayer, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel our renewal ceremony due to COVID. It wasn’t an easy decision and we were looking forward to celebrating with everyone in person. But unfortunately, due to the virus, there is a lot of uncertainty around planning such an event at this time. We appreciate you hanging in there with us and are grateful for your prayers and understanding. Thanks be to God, we are blessed, well and safe. Praying the same for all of you and God bless!
Unfortunately due to COVID-19, we are going to post-pone our celebration. We had hoped to the last minute we would be able to yet in order to safeguard everyone's health, we have made this difficult yet necessary decision. However, we are still getting married this year and will have a small ceremony with family. And we hope and pray at this time next year you will join us as we renew our vows and finally get to celebrate in person. Same venue, same time, different date. If your RSVP (whether yes or no) remains unchanged, there is nothing needed on your end and we'll see you a year from now! If of course it has, please reach out to us so we can update it for you. May GOD keep you and us all in the meantime. Thank you and we'll see you next year!
So back on Sunday, April 28th, 2019, Cory made a decision that would change his life for the better. He decided to message Beth on a dating app, 6 simple, sweet words, "Hey Bethanie! How are you doing?" They built upon that first message a bit more with more text conversations. Then after some slight encouragement on Beth's part, Cory finally mustered up the courage to ask for her digitz! That lead to more text conversations, Sixers playoff game updates and analysis, and they discovered their love for talking to each other about anything and everything. Finally (Cory can be slow sometimes) a first date occurred on Saturday, June 15th, 2019. From mini golf to dinner to bowling to a few more dinners, on Tuesday, July 9th, 2019, Cory officially asked Beth to be his girl. From then on, they were pretty much inseparable! From family gatherings to church visits to costume parties to double dates and everything in between, they were now an Oreo pair! And before you knew it, 9 months to the date from Cory's first message, on Tuesday, January 28th, 2019, Cory got down on one knee and asked Beth to be his one and only, and Beth confirmed with an ecstatic YES!!! And now and only by which God could align and ordain, a year and 25 days since that first message, Cory and Beth will make it official and say "I Do" as man and wife! They are extremely blessed to have one another and share in the celebration with all of you!
