We started talking on a cute little dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel :) Cory was deployed at the time but from Dec 2018 through April 2019 we talked ever since day. We finally met a few weeks after Cory got home from his deployment at The Chicken Lounge. From there our story continued and 6 years later we are finally getting married.

Christmas Eve 2023, after Calvin went to bed. Cory and I decided to do our gift exchange so Christmas morning it’s all about Calvin. After we opened our gifts, Cory said he had 1 more gift and I had to look for it and he directed me to our Xmas tree. I figured maybe 1 of those cool 3D ornaments or something. I found the jewelry box and the size was deceitful lol I figured maybe a new pair of earrings or bracelet or maybe a necklace. But behold when I started to open and from the corner of my eye I saw Cory go down on 1 knee and I saw my beautiful ring. It was truly a special moment between us and my favorite Christmas Eve memory.
