Meeting someone online can be a little bit weird, but Melinda and Cory can tell you that meeting someone online who has tons of mutual friends and shared experiences can be even weirder. An example of this would be when Melinda was a sophomore in high school, she was in a school play. Who was in the audience that night? You guessed it. Cory. Cory insists that he doesn’t remember her from that fateful night, but Melinda still believes that somewhere in his subconscious, Cory remembered her face. (Even though she had 10lbs of stage makeup on!) Four years later, Melinda and Cory are feeling a bit lonely and sign up for an OKCupid account. They naturally match instantly. They meet at a very trendy, very romantic, and secluded spot in Waterbury…Chilli's Bar and Grill. You better believe we got bottomless chips. Cory even bought Melinda a Margarita. (However, please don’t tell the cops that she was only 19 at the time!!) What came next was a whirlwind. In the span of 7 years they adopted a dog/daughter named Breeze, got an apartment (Followed by a house), had many oversea adventures, career changes, you name it! What does the future hold for Cory and Melinda after marriage? They honestly couldn’t tell you but if they had to guess it would include AT LEAST one more dog. In all seriousness, getting lawfully married isn’t going to change the way they feel about each other, nor will it change the nature of their relationship. Melinda and Cory have been married in their own little world since day one.
