FAQ

The Wedding Website of Jessica McCutcheon and Cory Engstrom
Question

Are Kids Welcome?

Answer

While we love all of your littles ones, our wedding day, as well as the entire wedding weekend is an adults only affair.

Question

What Is the Dress Code?

Answer

Our Wedding is a Formal Affair & Dress To Impress. That said, we're putting a modern twist on it, that plays more into a destination wedding vibe ( tropical/bright colors etc). What Does Modern Destination Formal Attire mean? Ladies: While Formal Attire traditionally requires a floor length dress, please do not feel limited or restricted to wearing a long gown, as the right midi or short dress can look just as elevated and formal as a long gown. *Bright tropical colors encouraged Men: While traditional formal attire requires a tie, we're making it tie optional, however please wear a black or neutral suit. More details can be found under the wedding Guest Attire tab.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our wedding is strictly RSVP only, as we have a very tight headcount cutoff for our reception venue, and unfortunately we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

What will the weather be like in Cabo in May?

Answer

Gorgeous! May does start to get pretty hot though, so I'd expect mid to high 80's all weekend!

Question

Do I have to stay at the Waldorf?

Answer

Absolutely not! We have a room block link for guests interested in staying onsite at the resort with us. However, there are tons of wonderful hotels in Cabo, and everyone should feel free to stay wherever they prefer that fits within their needs and budget.

Question

Will shuttle Services Be Provided?

Answer

You can book directly through the Waldorf Reservations team, or book through a transportation company that comes highly recommended by our wedding planner. Waldorf Astoria Reservations team contact: Phone: 1-844-733-7342 Email: sjdwa.res@waldorfastoria.com Transportation Company: Vivo Luxury Services https://booking.vivolx.com/ Code: jessicaandcory

Question

Does Cabo Have Uber?

Answer

Yes! Cabo has UBER, but please be aware that the cars they drive are much smaller than the ones in the states, and they do not have UBER XL. Ergo, you will need to consider that only 3 people per car will be able to fit in one UBER. I'd highly recommend just using cabs to get around over the weekend, as it's the easiest option and most resorts can quickly call you a cab.

Question

How do I handle the currency conversion in Mexico?

Answer

1. All resorts as well as the majority of restaurants in Cabo take credit cards, so I'd use card for the best exchange rate if you have a credit card that waives foreign transaction fees. 2. You will definitely need cash for taxi's and getting around Cabo. Most cabs do not accept credit cards, but will gladly accept either USD or Pesos. PRO TIP: If you're not going to exchange USD > Pesos's, which I'd strongly recommend, then I would definitely download the currency conversion app if you are not familiar with how the exchange & conversion rate works in Mexico.

Question

Can You Swim in the Ocean in Cabo?

Answer

It's not recommended to swim at most resorts in Cabo San Lucas, unless otherwise stated, due to the very strong riptide coming off of the Baja peninsula. That said, there are areas you can take guided tours to that you can very safely snorkel, scuba, swim etc, however the beach at the Waldorf is a non-swimmable beach.

Question

Rsvp Deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by no later than April 1st, 2024. You can do so by mailing back the RSVP, or simply RSVPing on our wedding website.
