We met in the middle of the ocean. Brayan was a bartender onboard the Carnival Magic and I was cruising with friends. The first thing I noticed was the back of his head, covered in some of the coolest tattoos I'd ever seen and when he turned around I never could have guessed that I would find the deepest comfort I have ever known in the eyes of a stranger. Our first meeting, I learned how to pronounce his name, that his mom had been to Chile and that he had a charm that probably worked on everyone, but especially on me. We talked about music and spirituality, our families and our love for life and haven't stopped sharing our thoughts ever since. Our love has always moved like water – flowing with the current of life; changing direction with ease when faced with an obstacle. Months of long distance, cultural differences, language barriers & political challenges making our journey harder than we hoped, but easy because we were in it with a clear, shared dream – being together. So, we celebrated our relationship where it began: by the sea, surrounded by close friends and family. A reminder to us of all the things we've been through and all the places we are going, side by side, flowing together.
