Beautiful in the day, beautiful at night. A must when visiting Brussels.
A mascot of Brussels dating back to the mid 15th century (they had an odd sense of humor). Grab a Belgian beer across the street at Poechenellekelder, and then see the original version of the fountain in the Brussels City Museum in the Grand Place.
Funky historic bar near the Grand Place. Go for the vibes, stay because you can't find the exit by candlelight.
Take a tour of the last brewery where local Brussels gueuze beer is brewed the "traditional" way. Self-guided tour during the week, or guided tour Saturday only. Let us know if you're interested, we can set up a group booking for guided tour on a different day.
Our favorite local watering hole. Good luck fighting for terrace seating in the sun on a nice day, the locals are vicious when it comes to snagging sunlight.
Great spot to grab an outdoor drink in a park on a nice day. Eavesdrop for national secrets.
Take a stroll through Bois de la Cambre (Brussels' version of Central Park) and stop by this oasis for a fancy bite and beverage. Bring a few euro coins to pay the ferryman. No joke.
With restaurants and a few beer stalls nearby, this is a nice place for a walk or just to take a breather.
Take a day trip to nearby Bruges, a picturesque medieval town. One hour from Brussels by train.
Or take a trip to Ghent, another medieval canal town but feels less like a museum. 30 minutes from Brussels by train.
