There will not be a ceremony. Rather, it will be a brief but meaningful blessing of our marriage and our vows. It will be much shorter than a traditional ceremony, since we already tied the knot at our quarantine wedding back in April. The difference is the blessing will take place at the reception venue, rather than at our church.
Obviously! Beer and wine will be provided.
The reception is a buffet-style dinner inside Old Capitol Inn's banquet hall, where the servers will serve the food, while following the COVID guidelines. It will then be followed by dancing to your heart's content to live music by Atlanta's own, Five Star Funk Lounge. There will be the option of staying inside in the banquet hall or venturing outside to the inn's beautiful garden and courtyard.
Kids are invited to both the ceremony and reception. But the reception is only appropriate for children over the age of 8 years old. To make it easy for parents and moms who are nursing, there will be a reserved room at the venue in Old Capitol Inn. We will have hired babysitters to watch over and play with your kids, while you can go have fun and check up on them whenever you need to!
There will be a charter bus provided for out-of-town guests staying at the Residence Inn. The bus will take guests from the hotel to Old Capitol Inn for the ceremony and reception, and afterwards, from Old Capitol back to Residence. For guests who need to leave the reception early, there will be a shuttle provided.
