Erica is Corrie Ana's younger sister and closest friend. Together, over the years, they have shared many laughs, tears, lame jokes, and long runs. Erica is dramatic but Corrie loves her anyway. And even though Erica put thumbtacks in Corrie Ana's bed when they were younger (cause she's a psycho), Corrie Ana still thought it would be a good idea to make her the maid of honor in her wedding. Erica has always been there for Corrie Ana and she could not imagine anyone else to stand beside her on her special day.
Colin Stravers
Best Man
Colin is best friend and roommate to Caleb. When asked what makes them so close, Caleb just states, “It’s complicated.” Throughout the first year of college, while Caleb was head-over-heels in love with his bride-to-be, Colin never stopped coming to the floor lounge that Caleb frequented or asking him how life was. When Caleb looks back, he is humbled by Colin’s refusal to give him up. Colin and Caleb are so close that they’ve developed a nonverbal form of communication that is, quite frankly, not safe for work. Weekly cinnamon roll dates in the Bootsma Bookstore Café and an innate ability to know the spontaneous excursions each are about to take with a simple nod of the head gives a whole new meaning to good chemistry.
Jessica Salzman
Matron of Honor
Jessica is Corrie Ana's oldest sister and closest confident. Growing up Corrie Ana and Jessica didn't really like each other very much. Due to a five year age gap, Jessica was going through her teen angst phase while Corrie Ana was still trying to figure out how to function in society without being awkward. After Jessica went to college, they began to like each other again and developed a very close relationship. Through all the jokes, fights, and shower curtain hugs Corrie Ana and Jessica became as close as sisters can get. Jessica is someone Corrie Ana has always looked up to and couldn't imagine anyone better to be her matron of honor.
Kyle VanderPlaats

Kyle has been one of Caleb’s closest friends since freshman year of college, but Caleb states that it feels like they’ve been friends for many years. Caleb first laid eyes on Kyle during his junior year of high school on the day that Kyle began school at Trinity. Caleb’s family was moving his older sister Megan into school that same day and Caleb only remembers seeing Kyle because he was and still is a man quicker to listen than speak. For Caleb though, Kyle is a source of wisdom and someone Caleb wouldn’t hesitate at all to go to for guidance. Sharing hotel rooms on numerous track trips and almond patties from Casey’s Bakery has cemented their friendship into one that will be lifelong.
Anneke Jacobi

Anneke is the youngest of the Jacobi sisters. As youngest, Anneke often played the role of willing servant to her sisters, running around and completing tasks for them. Growing up, Corrie Ana and Anneke not only shared a bunk bed, but also shared other qualities such as, a passion for reading, satisfaction in an afternoon spent doing nothing and organizational skills (or lack there of). Corrie Ana will always be thankful for the countless times Anneke rode her bike alongside her as she ran, and more importantly the day Anneke stood as a loyal bridesmaid.
Brantley Van Overloop

Brantley is a close friend and running teammate to both Caleb and Corrie Ana. Affectionately nicknamed, “B-Kitty”, Brantley and Caleb are brought close by their deep enjoyment of running. However, one common tie they hold perhaps dearest of all is their frequent exchange of memes. It would not be odd to discover Brantley and Caleb huddled over a phone screen with tears of laughter streaming down their faces as the group around them looks on with faces that are quite blank because, “It’s really not that funny.”
Katie Bartels

Friends from day one, Katie and Corrie Ana were inseparable. Katie was like Corrie Ana's fourth sister. From dance parties to beach camping Katie was always one to have a good time. The times that Corrie and Katie got into trouble together (usually because Corrie convinced her to do rebellious things) when they were younger were too many to count, but Katie always went along with it. Katie may be super weird and make many terrible puns, but she has always had Corrie's back no matter what.
James Beyer

James is a friend and roommate of three years to Caleb. Between periodically taste testing a dorm-made Kombucha recipe and holding long winded conversations covering a whole host of shower thought topics while eating sad lunches in their room, James and Caleb have shared many memorable moments that are very rarely dull and more often than not, too “college” to share with anyone else. To offer a glimpse of James’ truly generous nature, Caleb states that he is confident he has now ridden James’ bike at Trinity more than James himself.
Shannon Broek

Shannon is Corrie Ana's best friend from childhood. Growing up Shannon was always ready to do something fun and direct the whole activity in the process, because Corrie Ana and Katie were definitely to lazy to do it. Corrie Ana always appreciated Shannon's cute style and her unique ability to find amazing clothes at thrift stores. Seriously, she has a super power when it comes to finding the best deal at Anvets. Corrie Ana looks forward to the day that Shannon will be in her wedding..... and let her raid her closet.
Ross Barz

Ross is also friend and roommate to Caleb. Ross and Caleb entered college as freshman together and if anyone would’ve watched closely enough, they’d be convinced Ross was the 5th roommate in his dorm. Ross was a constant presence for the shenanigans that went down and consequently was an automatic addition to the dorm sophomore year. Caleb’s first impression of Ross freshman year was that he drank excessively too much coffee. Little did Caleb know that three years later, the tables would turn, and now he is the one with the crippling coffee dependence. Ross taught him the powerful lesson to not judge a book by its coffee consumption.
Megan Velthuizen

Megan is the older sister to Caleb and one of Corrie Ana's closest friends from college. To any other person it would be weird that her best friend was dating her brother.... and in this case it was still weird. Megan third wheeled through many breakfasts, movies, and outside excursions with Caleb and Corrie Ana, but they didn't care. Together they were the three musketeers taking on that crazy thing called adulthood. Megan always knows how to listen and give really good advise, so Corrie Ana definitely hit the jackpot when it came to future sister-in-laws.
Cody Velthuizen

Cody is the husband of Caleb’s older sister, Megan. Caleb and Cody actually met at Trinity before Megan and Cody were together. Little did they know they would become brothers years later. One thing many people don’t know about Cody is that he has no problem cheating to get ahead. During Caleb’s first visit to Trinity he ran with the cross country team and afterward played “duck, duck, goose”. During the game Caleb was ducked by Cody, who then began to run around the circle. According to many eyewitnesses (apparently only Caleb) Cody was indeed caught but denied it. Caleb has not forgotten this injustice.
Mariah DeWeerd
Bridesmaid
Mariah is the youngest sister of Caleb and in his words "A dweeb". Corrie Ana and Mariah hit it off right away when they first met, and continue to enjoy their favorite past time of roasting Caleb on a daily basis. Both of them also have a passion for clothes and shopping, but wallets that greatly discourage such a practice. Even though she is gluten free, Corrie Ana could not be more excited to gain another sister like Mariah.
Wesley Salzman

Coming into the game as Corrie's childhood friend, Wesley and Caleb had no problem developing a deep connection. From cute nicknames to bonding over track, Caleb and Wesley were destined to be best buds. Wesley comments on the first time he heard of Caleb from Corrie's sister Erica reminiscing about times of stalking Caleb on social media and devising a plan of how to keep this new budding romance on the down low. In the words of Caleb himself, "the rest is history".
Thomas Salzman

Thomas is husband to the Matron of Honor and brother-in-law to Corrie Ana. Thomas and Caleb met in December two years ago during Caleb’s first visit to California to meet Corrie Ana’s family. If asked to describe Thomas in just a few words, Caleb would use the words Captain, Loyal, and Classified. Caleb admits he’s curious about what kinds of classified operations Thomas works on but says he can be satisfied with the free physics tutoring whenever he wants it.
John Jacobi

John is brother to Corrie Ana. He and Caleb met in December two years ago at the Jacobi’s house. One of the very first bonds that brought them together was their love for coffee. If asked about John Jacobi Caleb will tell you, “I get to have a brother who loves two of the same things I do: Jesus and a finely crafted cup of bean juice.”
