Garden City
Seventh Street and Franklin Avenue in Garden City offer a bunch of restaurants.
Rockville Centre
Rockville Center gives you options with various activities and some great places for lunch and dinner. North Park Avenue and South Park Avenue are covered with restaurants and bars.
New York
New York City is only 30 Minutes away by train! Depending on where you stay, there is certain to be a train station nearby. Please visit the LIRR website to see the various train lines. If you are staying near the reception hall, we suggest boarding the train at the New Hype Park Station. This will be direct to Penn Station without having to make any transfers. For those staying closer to the church, we suggest boarding the train from the Westbury Station. This line will also be direct to Penn Station. Schedules, fares, and tickets can be found on the website. Tip: Buy your ticket ahead of time, or it will cost extra if you have to buy it on the train.
Wineries
There is no shortage of Vineyards. If you have some extra time and don't mind the drive, any of these options would be well worth it. Some great options are: Wölffer Estate Vineyard, Del Vino Vineyards and Pindar Vineyards.
Umberto's Of New Hyde Park
Going to New York, especially Long island, and not getting pizza would be a terrible mistake. One of our favorites, which is conveniently located near our reception venue, is Umberto's Of New Hyde Park. We recommend trying a Grandma slice.
