We Are The Dorseys

We actually met on Facebook dating. I had almost given up because I had met so many frogs and I never thought my prince would come this way. I was about to close my page when I received a message from my handsome prince. Joseph and I started by a simple conversation. You know the regular small talk. We decided to exchange numbers and talked on the phone for about 2 weeks. Joseph and I talked and laughed about everything. I remember in his introduction he let me know that he was looking for a wife. Well, that got my attention because I wanted a husband. We went on to discuss what we wanted in a spouse, and to our surprise we both wanted similar things and expectations of our spouses I thought to myself he seems to be a really nice dude, and he is too good to be true. We decided to do a meet and greet on February 4, 2024, at good ole Cracker Barrel. I told him that I liked flowers, so he stopped on the way and got me one of those Chinese Orchids it was so pretty and is still alive. He was such a protector and a gentleman right from the start. I thought wow he is so tall and handsome. We ate, talked and laughed even more. We held hands across the table it was so romantic. He came to Greensboro from Durham to visit me. When I saw him for the second time, I looked up at him and knew he was the one. We both expressed how much we cared about each other. After a few visits he said I was his wife. I was like ok. Soon after that he asked me if I would marry him. Of course, I said yes. I could not let this one get away. We went ring shopping, and I had to leave my ring to get sized. I was so upset. We finally got it, and it was not sized because they forgot to send it off. My ring was in a drawer. I was so mad!! Joseph being the calm one talked me off of the ledge and we took my ring home with us. Not too long after I got it the wedding plans began. We had decided to get married at the Justice of The Peace and have a nice reception, but I really wanted a wedding. As time went on, our small wedding turned into a wedding with over 130 guests. We are so excited to share this unity with all of our family and friends. Becoming Mr. & Mrs. Joseph A Dorsey Sr is so awesome for both of us.
