David had planned a whole day in Sandusky, or so Corinne thought. What he actually planned was much more. It all started Friday night, May 6th. David surprised Corinne with a night at the Renaissance hotel in downtown Toledo. We had just left dinner with our families celebrating Corinne's graduation with her masters degree. The next morning, they both woke up early. David was very nervous, Corinne found out later that day. It didn't take Corinne long to get ready so she was done early, but David took longer to get ready because he was stalling. Corinne was of course hungry and wanted coffee, so the couple went to Dunkin'. Afterwards Corinne thought that they were heading to Sandusky, but instead David takes her to the Toledo Art Museum. They walked around for 10 minutes or so before David insisted that Corinne go outside for a picture. Corinne smiled for a picture and then David told her to turn around so he could get a picture of Corinne "looking at the sculpture." This is when Corinne knew he was proposing. David told Corinne to turn around and he was down on one knee with the beautiful ring asking her to marry him. Bre Cooper, Corinne's lifelong friend, was there disguised as "Molly" to take pictures. David then drove Corinne to her parents house where the couple was surrounded by family and friends, a huge surprise engagement party to Corinne!
