We first met in Guatemala in 2016 when I was volunteering there for a couple months. I saw a really cute guy at the beach wearing pink shorts. He wasn't very talkative, so I made the first move. After a few dates struggling with my Spanish, he surprised me by speaking English. The first three dates I thought he didn't know English! Fast-forward to September 2018 Carlos came to Redding to "visit for 2 weeks", and in that time, we fell in love and I convinced him to stay for forever :)
