We have been taking the COVID-19 pandemic extremely seriously for the past year and are continuing to monitor how it progresses. With the recent rollout of vaccines, we are expecting to fully execute the wedding as planned, but if we still see some sort of risk, we will take safety measures which may include social distancing, mask wearing, guest reduction, or seat planning based on those who have/have not been vaccinated (though we definitely won’t force you to share whether you’ve been vaccinated if you aren’t comfortable). However, we feel confident that we will probably not have to take such measures and that we will be able to hold a safe outdoor wedding. We are hoping it can be a great kickoff to returning to social events for many of you.
We have actually rented out a large Airbnb estate to stay at for the week and are hosting our wedding on the property. The dinner/dancing portion will be under a tent, but the large yard space will also be set up with fun activities for everyone. :)
You may notice you won’t be getting a choice of meal on the invitation -- that’s because the dinner will be buffet style. We have selected a wide variety of items for a scope of dietary preferences and restrictions, but please reach out to us if you have any dietary concerns or restrictions so we can make sure there are options for you.
If your child is listed on the invitation, then of course they are welcome. If they aren’t, then please leave them at home. (Young babies are an exception of course -- you can bring them if you need or would like to.)
We are expecting that most people will be wearing your average wedding cocktail attire, but honestly, wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. We want our guests to feel comfortable, confident, and not restricted by dress code. There are also places to change if you would like to bring a more comfortable change of clothes (if you plan on getting really competitive in yard games or something haha).
Our property does have a small grass lot which should fit all of our guests, but if possible, we recommend carpooling, or using a taxi or ride share company if you're coming from a nearby hotel.
