Corin and Aaron's love story doesn't read like the classic Disney fairy tales we all know. There were no glass slippers, no daring rescues from castles, and no village at stake. Although their origination story misses the key components for a Disney hit, their story was uniquely theirs, a blend of science class, Dunkin Donuts, and the New York Yankees. Science Class: In a classroom of 300 students, you can always count on one thing, the people from New Jersey will find each other. Through the magnetic force of New Jersey roots, Corin and Aaron found themselves on the same bench as they waited for their class to begin. “Hey”, Corin said, “Did you do the reading?” she asked with a scholarly curiosity. “No, I don’t even own the book”, Aaron replied. Where a conversation would end for most, Corin followed up with a second question. “Where are you from?” As if they both couldn’t already anticipate the answer. The two students immediately divulged into a conversation of Pork Roll vs. Taylor Ham, Hoagie vs. Sub, and debated the existence of a place called ‘Central Jersey’. The classroom doors opened, and their conversation continued as the pair found two seats together. Dunkin Donuts: Aaron never doubted his feelings from the moment he met Corin; he was in love. But in a university with over 30,000 students, he needed to make a lasting impression. For the remainder of the semester, he planned to arrive 20 minutes early to class, armed with two Dunkin Donuts coffees, hoping to catch Corin's attention. He believed that if Dunkin couldn't win her over, nothing else would. Corin's initial surprise at the unexpected coffee deliveries led her to wonder about Aaron's intentions. She questioned whether he liked her, if there had been a mix-up at Dunkin, or if he had a BOGO coupon. Yet, after two weeks of pre-science class Dunkin, all uncertainty melted away. Corin realized that Aaron's actions were sincere and not the result of a mistake or a promotional deal. New York Yankees: In the world of baseball, there's only one team that truly matters in New York—the one in the Bronx. Fortunately, Corin and Aaron were both brought up in households that embraced this truth. With the semester ending, it was apparent to Aaron that if he wanted Corin to be his girlfriend, he would need to step it up a notch from Dunkin coffee. With a known mutual love for Yankees baseball, Aaron invited Corin on a date to a game on the final day of class. After a full 9 innings of ballpark food, a Yankees win, and a subway ride to Penn Station, the time was now for Aaron. Having practiced this moment over and over in his head, in the bustling midst of Penn Station, Aaron sputtered out “Will you be my girlfriend?” With a smile and little hesitation, Corin replied, "Of course." At that moment, Corin and Aaron's journey together officially began.
