We're Getting Married!

It all began on the historic campus of our beloved HBCU, Tougaloo College — where fate decided to write our story. Before we ever officially met, MJ made it his mission to get my attention. From heart-eye emojis flooding my stories to mysteriously “coincidental” grocery drop, offs at my dorm, he was determined to make his presence known. And let’s just say, he succeeded. In January of 2022, our paths finally aligned in the most unexpected way, all over a steering wheel cover. What started as a simple favor turned into something unforgettable. That night, and the ones that followed, we sat in MJ’s truck from dusk until the early hours of the morning, talking, laughing, and realizing that something special was unfolding. Those four nights became the foundation of something real, something lasting. Our love hasn’t always been perfect, we’ve had our highs and lows, our learning moments and our growing pains. But through it all, one thing has remained constant: our love for each other. No matter the season, it’s that love that has always guided us back home to one another. Now, surrounded by the people who’ve watched our journey unfold, we’re ready to begin our next chapter, forever and always, Cori & MJ
