Martin's BBQ is a local staple that Cori's family frequently visits when they're in town. There are several locations around town, but the 4th Ave location is our favorite and right down the block from the AC Marriott. They have a full bar and TVs throughout the restaurant in case you need a place to watch football. Note from Cori's Dad: Beware of the Devil's Nectar sauce. Note from Cori: You will smell like meat when you leave, so perhaps the best time to visit is on Saturday or Sunday. : )
Dozen has the best pastries in Nashville and Cori likes to surprise Tony with pastries on very special weekend mornings. Tony's pick is the ham & cheese croissant and Cori's pick is the kouign amann. Although all of their croissants, scones and cookies are delicious!
Anything you order here will knock your socks off. Don't be afraid of the line - it moves quickly! But don't forget to bring cash, they do not take credit cards here. Can be annoying, but the food is well worth it!
Pancake Pantry is just as good as everyone says it is and Cori & Tony don't care if other locals roll their eyes at them. You will probably stand in a very long line to eat here, so budget time accordingly!
Cori and Tony first discovered Milk & Honey on a visit to Chattanooga when they stopped for breakfast on their way out of town. This location has a counter for a quick cup of coffee (Tony's favorite roaster supplies the beans) and pastries, but they also have a full service restaurant. Fair warning - this is a bachelorette favorite!
Cori & Tony love bringing friends here to try the best burger in town - The Tennessean. They also have alcoholic milkshakes that are super popular!
All of the honky tonks on Broadway are a good time, and it is so fun to figure out which one is your favorite. We like Honky Tonk Central because it has three floors each with its own band and big windows for people watching. We like making a game out of counting bachelorette parties (our highest count was 26 when we were too overwhelmed to keep counting!) Don't forget to bring cash to tip the band - $20 for song requests and a few dollars to help support local musicians!
Cori has loved Jackalope Brewing since she first started coming to Nashville with her girlfriends right after college. This location is great for a big group - grab a Bearwalker (the couple's favorite!)
