What is the Guatemalan Currency?

Answer

The quetzal (locally [keˈtsal]; code: GTQ) is the currency of Guatemala. The conversion rate is approximately 1 USD to 7.80 Quetzal. Most, but not all places, take credit card, so it's a good option to carry some cash. You can exchange currency at the airport when you arrive or use ATMs located throughout Antigua.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

You can expect warm/dry days with average daily maximum temperatures of around 25°C/77°F. The evenings can get a bit chiller with temperatures around 13°C/55°F.

Do you need a visa to enter Guatemala?

Answer

For residents or citizens of the US, Europe, Mexico and Canada, a visa is not required to travel to Guatemala. However, those traveling with a Venezuelan passport must apply for a visa. This visa can be obtained in Colombia, Panama or Ecuador and will be valid for 6 months. Please contact the Guatemalan embassy in your respective country for detailed information on the necessary requirements.
