On the night of September 19th of 2016, Jade was ordering food at the Grille at North Greenville University. As he was waiting for his food he looked to his left and this beautiful girl caught his attention. Jade began contemplating on ideas on how to talk to her whether he should just walk up to her, sit beside her when he got his food, or just simply say hi. Jade noticed that one of his friends was there and talking to her so he decided to just go for it and join in the conversation. As soon as he took his first steps towards her he knew there was no going back, however the friend walked away just as he got there. Jade stood there awkwardly with no food, with few words to say, and Cori looked at him. Finally, Jade said Hey and she replied with hey and after waiting for him to say something back he never really did until she asked him if he would like to sit down. Jade sat down and began to introduce himself and she began to introduce herself and that is when Jade knew that this girl was different. She was open, genuine, and did not hide her flaws. Jade liked that about her and from that moment on they began pursing a friendship.
