Multiple ways! There is a train or bus from Boston, as well as a regional airport if you’re flying in. If you’re flying into Logan airport or driving from the Boston area, it’s about a 2 hour drive.
After a lot of research we decided against a hotel block. Many required a minimum two night stay by guests and that seemed an unfair burden to place on our friends and family for a Saturday wedding. Please check out the “Places to Stay” tab of our page for different hotel options. Also AirBnB's are a great option to consider as well!
Fall in New England is beautiful, but unpredictable. While we are hoping for a mild and sunny day, it could be rainy and 30 degrees. We suggest checking the area's weather closer to the wedding day.
There will not be any shuttle service between the venue and the hotel(s). Please refer to the travel page for additional information, including parking.
Both! We have the entire Oxbow Blending and Bottling space reserved for our event. The space includes the main taproom and the exterior front patio area. The outside area has a bunch of benches, tables, and a fire pit. In the event of inclement weather, there will be some tents and heat lamps as well.
We are getting married at a brewery, but it's still a wedding after all :) So we just request that folks dress in "dressy-casual" wear. Such as a dress shirt and slacks for men (tie's are optional); and whatever the equivalent of that is for women. Because we all know that the ladies look good in whatever they wear.
We are kindly asking folks to put their phones/cameras away during the ceremony. Most of us have been to a concert and how how annoying that can be... Let's not block the view of those seated behind you, and instead live in the moment! We hired professional photographers for a reason, after all... :)
We'll be leaning into the brewery theme! No formal sit-down meal. Instead throughout the evening there will be a number of food options to choose from on your own schedule. We are aware that people have a variety of dietary restrictions and we are doing our best to accommodate that. (More details will be available day-of, if you have specific concerns or questions though, please reach out!)
Yes! Oxbow will have their standard beer menu on hand, as well as wine, liquor and a variety of NA options too. Water and other non-alcoholic beverages will be available during the ceremony, and the bar will open once the cocktail hour begins.
We do, it is available through this website! Please check the "Registry" tab above.
There's tons to do in Portland and nearby! In addition to just walking around the downtown area, check out our “Things To Do” tab on this page for a sampling of some of our favorite spots! Feel free to venture around too though, there's lots in the surrounding towns, not to mention it'll be prime leaf peeping season if you want to drive out to the mountains a bit!
