Southern Beaches - Robert Moses Beach and the Atlantic Ocean is only a 20 minute drive south of our wedding, and the sand is smooth at one of Long Island's best beaches.

Northern Beaches - Sunken Meadow is about 20 minutes North of our wedding and faces the Long Island Sound and Connecticut.  This beach is much rockier, full of glacial till from the ice age (if you didn't know, Long Island was created by a glacier that ultimately melted leaving the north side rocky, and the south side sandy!).

NYC - If you are from out of town, and you want to spend a day in NYC, you can take a 75 minute train right into Penn Station and be in the heart of the big apple!  From there it's a short walk to Times Square, or a quick cab/subway ride to the village, SoHo, or even Battery Park where you can see the Statue of Liberty.

Golf - There are plenty of places to golf on Long Island, including the famous Bethpage Black... you might not be able to get a tee time there, but you can find a course!
