We're Getting Married!

It all started with a message on OKCupid back in May 2014. Soon followed by an in-person lunch date at Corner Bakery, which left both Katie and Corey excited to see each other again. After a few dates, they realized that this was something special, and they've been together ever since. Over the past 5 years, Katie and Corey have gone on road trips across North America, from the Pacific to the Atlantic. Visiting amazing sites like the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Disney World, and even the country's largest bottle of ketchup (Corey's favorite). They also found a perfect travel companion in the form of the weirdest dog ever, Oreo (Reo for short). On September 29, 2018 Corey asked Katie to accompany him on a date to the Lincoln Park Zoo and Conservatory. After walking through the zoo and one-time around the conservatory, Corey begged Katie to take one more walk through. Once they were about half-way, Corey asked Katie to interpret an American Sign Language phrase that "he had seen someone sign earlier". After showing Katie the phrase she responded by saying, "Will you marriage me?" Corey answered, "Exactly" and got down on one knee with a ring in hand. Overjoyed, Katie said yes! And on their way out to a celebratory sushi dinner, Katie found her family and friends waiting to surprise her with love and Champagne to celebrate the newly engaged couple.
