We're getting married!

It was March of 2021, in the midst of COVID-19 in San Diego, CA. Corey was in the Marine Corps while Kaitlin was at her prior PhD program. Both were on a little app called Hinge, looking to meet people because the effects of COVID eliminated the "candid" ways of meeting people in a new city. Well, Kaitlin saw Corey's profile and liked how a cause he cared about was mental health, his handsome pictures, and the motorcycle pictures were intriguing. Corey saw Kaitlin's profile and was drawn to the prompt "I can fit my hand in a pringles can", so essentially Kaitlin's small hands is what drew Corey to her. Well, after they both swiped right and began chatting they set up their first date, a Thursday night in downtown San Diego. The day before, Kaitlin unfortunately had to reschedule because of an exam the next day and a long night of studying that awaited her with her roommate, Sofia. After hours of studying, Kaitlin and Sofia decided to get a drink at a rooftop bar called Lumi and then go right home. The following day, it was time for Kaitlin and Coreys date. Corey picked Kaitlin up in his Subaru, which was incredibly loud coming down the block. Again, it was the midst of COVID in San Diego, so we decided to go to a sushi restaurant...1.5 hour wait, they tried a Korean BBQ place...1.5 hour wait. Corey began sweating, "what do we do?" he thought. They stumbled across one of the worst "Irish Pubs" San Diego had to offer, and that is where their first date was. The only people under 50 with the worst beer and burgers in the world, but it felt like it was just those two. After finishing up at O'Briens, they did not want the night to end. They decided to go to Downtown San Diego to continue the fun, this was Kaitlin's part of the neighborhood, "where do we go?" she thought. Perfect! "We will go to this great rooftop bar, Lumi". They approach Lumi and the host says they have over an hour wait for a table, she quickly starts examining Kaitlin, "weren't you here last night?'. Kaitlin begins sweating...she was here with Sofia last night even though she rescheduled their date to study! The host then talks in her microphone, looks at Kaitlin and Corey, and exclaims "follow me". The host gave Kaitlin and Corey a beautiful table overlooking Gaslamp Quarters. Kaitlin had to explain to Corey that she was out with Sofia after studying and he understood. Following this date, they were attached at the hip. The second date being two days later, and they were together almost everyday since. 6 months later, they moved into their first apartment in Anaheim together, 4 months after that, they got their first dog, Cairo! Almost 4 years later, they are living in a townhouse in Framingham with all of their memories from California to Massachusetts and everything in between.
