Jillian met Kelsey, Corey's sister, at nursing school. Kelsey pretty quickly told Jillian, "You need to marry my brother," which Jillian thought was ridiculous. One day after work Jillian stopped by Kelsey's house and was surprised with Corey (who didn't live there) answering the door, jokingly proposing with a ring pop. Soon after that, they started dating. Their first date was a trip to Del Taco, and their best friendship began.

Corey picked Jillian up from class, after a stressful few weeks of school. He said they were going to go get lunch and get away for a little bit. They headed up to Crestline to see the view, at the hang-gliding jump. Corey didn't have a ring pop this time, but he got down on one knee (accompanied by gummy bears, rootbeer, and sunflowers) and proposed with a real ring. Soon the bestfriendship will be solidified for life.
